Hi all - passing this along on behalf of our evidence-based decision-making team here at DOI, who would love to get more smart people into the government doing evidence-based decision-making:

The OMB Evidence Team is Hiring a Pathways Student Intern!

The Office of Management and Budget’s Evidence Team is hiring a Student Trainee (Social Science) through the Pathways Internship Program to support a range of evidence initiatives across the Federal Government, including Evidence Act implementation, the Evaluation Officer Council, and other related activities.

This is a year-round paid student internship in Washington, D.C., and applicants must be U.S. citizens accepted for enrollment or currently enrolled in a degree-seeking program in an accredited/qualifying educational institution. This is a wonderful opportunity for a graduate or PhD student to apply their academic learning on program evaluation and public policy in order to support evidence-based policymaking across the Federal government. The application opens on October 10, 2024 and closes at 11:59PM EST on October 24, 2024. The full description and link to apply are on USAJOBShttps://www.usajobs.gov/job/813309100. If you cannot open this link, starting October 10th you may search on usajobs.gov for “Office of Management and Budget Student Trainee (Social Science).”

Please share this opportunity widely with your graduate student networks! For questions about this position, you can reach out to evid...@omb.eop.gov.
