Role: PowerBuilder developer
Location: Remote
Duration: 12+ Months Contract

Note: The candidate will be allowed to work remotely. The candidate will need to come onsite on the first day to collect equipment. If the candidate is not local to Raleigh, NC, the candidate will need to use their own equipment for the duration of the engagement.
Required Skills: (10+ years)
This individual should have practical experience with standard development life cycle, including requirements gathering, analysis, design, development, unit & system testing, quality assurance testing as well as experience with business process transformation. Experience designing and implementing SharePoint and web-based solutions are also valuable skills we’re seeking.
Required Skills: (10+ years)
- Experience as a PowerBuilder developer using PB10 or more recent versions.
- Strong SQL skills (HiCAMS uses a Sybase database but SQL skills in any database platform are acceptable)
- Strong Microsoft Suite experience, particularly Excel
- Experience working in a remote software development environment
- Strong analytical, conceptual, and technical skills
- Positive interpersonal skills coupled with an independent, self-motivated work ethic
- Ability to work with a custom base-class
- Proven written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain business processes to IT users and IT applications to business users
- Preferred Skills:
- Previous development experience with NCDOT’s HiCAMS application is desired but not Mandatory
- Development experience in C#
- Development experience in Java
- Development experience in C+
- Experience coding stored procedures and triggers (any database)
- Experience developing .net applications and API’s in a Visual Studio environment
- Data conversion experience
