Hello Wannabeasts,

Great job with the monster run last Saturday, everyone ran strong and displayed great motivation (especially with the singing) while doing so! The team leaders and I would like to thank all of the Wannabeasts for continuing to run 2x2 and sharing the greenways, and calling out hazardous! Also, a special thanks to each of you for looking out for one another during the runs. We all have days where we just simply do not run well for one reason or another and it’s nice to know that there’s somebody keeping a watchful eye on us in the event that assistance is needed. Please continue to look out for each other! Your safety is PARAMONT!

By now some of you are getting close to your race day and may have started getting really excited and having thoughts like; what else can I do to better prepare for my race? Will I be able to maintain my intervals during the race and control my pace? Will my nutrition sustain me during my race so that I can maintain my energy level and finish strong? Etc. Well…I say to you that these are same thoughts that every marathoner has experienced at some point leading up to a race.  Please stay focused and have confidence in your training because it has gotten you to the point where you are now, and it will get you across the finish line on race day!  Be sure to eat as healthy as possible, get plenty of rest, and enjoy the remainder of your training and your race day experience!

To help relax on the days leading up to and even on race day, just say to yourself “I got this!” I’m going to treat this just like one more training run… just with a larger group of runners!

I look forward to seeing everyone smiling face tomorrow!

Kelvin

Here’s  the plan for this week.

We are running from a new partner location this week - the American Institute of Healthcare and Fitness in North Raleigh.  AIHF will be holding education sessions following our run on 15 minute intervals. Please see the attached flyer for topics to include injury prevention, stretching, fuel, cross-training and acupuncture. I'm sure the listed times will be flexed a bit to accommodate our staggered return times.
