Im sure your all looking forward to a easy run this week and yes it will be shorter. Congratulations to everyone that reached new distances last week. Everyone did GREAT.  The topic this week is running during the week. As you progress to your goal of a half or full marathon your running during the week plays a BIG part in your success. I realize that work and other obligations get in the way but, its up to you to follow thru since we  your leaders are not there to cheer you on. One of the things you should be working on during the weekday runs is speed and throw some hills in there just for fun. I say speed because the goal for our group is to run the race distance at a overall pace of 10:30 per mile. Notice thats not our training pace so, yes its a little different. We slow it down on the weekends to make sure no one gets hurt during training because that stinks!  We all know that our family is the number 1 priority just don't forget to run during the week as it is a very important part of your training. All of your hard work will payoff in the near future and I realize that some of this means a change in our lifestyle but, change is good. In closing I wish to leave you with a quote that I just found and It means a lot to me. He who rejects Change is the architect of Decay. By Harold Wilson. Now lets Run!
