Happy Thursday everyone!
You've all been doing a great job each week and I hope you're all looking forward to Saturday. We're going to the tobacco trail, which is probably one of our flatter courses (yipee!). We have a range of mileage (from 10-18 miles). The plan as of now is to run all the way to the end of the trail (Durham Bulls ballpark) before turning around. This will amount to approximately 13 miles as the base. Those running further will head back out for additional mileage as needed with the group.
Important note: It is EXTRA important to stay together as a group this week as the part of the ATT that we are running goes through some of the not so great parts of downtown Durham. If you are having trouble, let the leaders know so we can make arrangements for someone to run/walk with you back to another group. Please also let us know if you are planning to do less mileage (<13) so that we make sure we have a group and/or leader to stay with you when you turn around earlier than the rest of the group.
Thank-you to everyone for contributing money for treats, which we are providing this weekend!
So far, the weather has been a little bit cooler this week, let's hope that continues into Saturday. Either way, make sure to stay hydrated and fuel yourself for this long run. Here's the plan for Saturday from Ron:
