to Wand Makers Guild - the wand
Hi all, here's a topic (or even several);

I believe that wands (as much as every other tool) can be a danger as
well as a boon: -

A well-made wand with the right person is great,
but I have feelings on certain trees being used.

I believe that three particularly potentially risky
ones to use are Yew, Elder and BlackThorn.

These IMO, require a lot of knowledge,
self-development and right-living to use wisely and safely.

I have a beautiful 3-4 inch thick,
3 or so foot long piece of Yew,
waiting for me, but I am 25,
not the best I can be yet,
and still too full of anger when hurt...

A Yew wand, to me, amongst other things,
is a psychopomp's baton, and bourne truly,
a season-ticket pass to some of the outer
edges of the realms of Death.

I believe its purpose with me will be
when I have to aid people in passing...

But I KNOW I am not ready to serve using that tool yet.
I have been close to that place in work on these matters,
done through prayer, meditation, that kind of thing,
but me + yew-wand now = not a good idea.

So, who believes there's too little
talk of wise cautions in our wand-craft?
Especially regarding explaining to those
who might never have considered such aspects?

I hope I am free to blether about semi-hidden stuff like this.

I enjoy it, when it's with folks who know
and understand what I'm talking about. =)

I congratulate those who do think over
and discuss and warn of these things.
