Test posting: am thinking about Google group as bulletin board

Hello, I am sending this out as a test posting.  Several members have suggested that we could use this site as a place where people could post items not related to hiking activity.  For example, somebody may have an extra concert ticket or somebody may want  to go to a musical and see if other Wanderbirds members are interested.  

If you feel like responding, write back.  No obligation!

Thanks so much for doing this. I hope it will help us expand our activities beyond hiking. WBs are such a great group of people. Have a wonderful trip to Israel. I look forward to your posts and photos on FB. Leslie p.s. I am really beat from yesterday's hike. I'm sorry I didn't come back via the trail. Walking on the road was really hard on my legs but the views were beautiful (of course, the views in the woods were absolutely gorgeous). Take care.

I agree.  Folks might have hiking or other types of sporting equipment to swap or have an outing planned in which others might want to participate.

I think that’s a great idea since membership in the group is moderated, if I recall.
