Hi all,

I purchased a wandboard quad. I tested the board with the pre-built yocto image from the wandboard site. It's worked fine. Then i compiled my own kernel from the git source and tested which also worked fine. I connected a 5Mp mipi camera wired setup with the wandboard and tested it. The boot log shows some i2c errors, so i try to probe the i2c signals in the DSO.  I noticed there is no ack from the slave while sending the slave address. After sometime while i power up the board again for debugging, there is no output from the serial port(UART). I don't know what happened to the board. So i removed the wired setup and try with the pre-built image, still the board is not booting.

Observation:

1. Both the Green leds and SPDIF red led is glowing.

2. When i connected USB OTG cable to the board and power up the board without SD card, im able to see the below message in the pc.

"Bus 001 Device 028: ID 15a2:0054 Freescale Semiconductor, Inc. i.MX6Q SystemOnChip in RecoveryMode"

3. And ethernet port leds are also blinking when live network cable is connected.

I'm new to wandboard and i don't how to debug further. Please help me to get rid of this issue.

Thanks and regards
Balaji P

Hi,

The good news. You have a working Wandboard.

The bad news. You most likely have a faulty created SD card and you should recreate one following the instructions.

Hi all,

I tried with 3 different sd cards. I also tried both pre-built yocto and android images. Still my board is not booting. Is there any way to boot from the USB-OTG.

Hi,

Can you let us know your setup. (monitor and other items).

Also please connect a nullmodem cable and post your logfile. In that case people know if your problem is a peripheral or a SD card issue.
