Hey,
I'm using wanboard quad with official android 4.4.2 sources from wandboard.org together with an ELO IntelliTouch Screen connected by USB for touch and VGA via a standard HDMI to VGA converter from "QII-VIEW".

The problem is that the screen in android is shifted remarkably to the right bottom and most noticably that all the symbols are displayed in a wrong aspect ratio. For example the clock on launcher is not a circle as expected but an ellipse which is by far too high to be called a circle (and so on).

Searched a lot and tried some things but I don't get any change. I can change to the few video modes predefined but they produce either the same output or are not working at all.

What I tried in the meantime already is to build vanilla android & linux from native sources of linux, u-boot and ASOP project with the perfect guide of android.serverbox.ch on exactly same hardware and setup as before. I got it working there out of the box with perfect display and ratio. When I check there current video mode of /sys/class/graphics/fb0/mode ... then I get "U:1280x800p-97" displayed.

My issue now is: how to get the same good launcher ratio with the wandboard.org sources.

as far as the web says I have to change things in u-boot bootargs. I messed around already with my uEnv.txt but that seemed to have no effect at all.

Can anyone help or point me to a possible solution or helpful service offers? Any hint is great - I'm searching on this already for quite a time and this is the last point on a longer checklist which would make a great project successful.

Thank you in advance!
thomas
