Hey everyone. The BSC gym was rented out this morning starting at 8:00. Fortunately they gave us a hoop to play on and we were able to get a good session in. I see the Waltham Y kicking us out regularly starting to repeat.
I sent the following email to the manager. Let's see what happens.
Hello, Geoffrey.
One of the staff at BSC Waltham provided me with your email address.
Myself and a group of guys just moved from the Waltham Y to the BSC. The Waltham Y would regularly kick us out of the gym without any notice and it got frustrating. Also, they are currently closed for basketball.
Currently we are playing Tuesday and Thursday from 6:30 AM until 8:00 am. Saturday we play from 7:30 am until 9:00 am.
There was a group that rented the gym today and we thought we were going to be kicked out. They were nice enough to give us half of one of the courts until 9:00. We have about 10 members playing now because of COVID . However, once it is over I'll be able to bring around 25 members to the gym.
I understand you have multiple member's needs to balance and when you have an opportunity to rent the gym, you need the additional revenue right now.
I was wondering if we could work out some regular hours when we know the gym would be available. If we need to rent the gym instead of paying a membership fee, that's definitely something we could talk about.
Also, we would like to be in communication with you about the gym schedule. Is there a way I can look at the gym schedule somewhere or - better yet - get email notifications when it changes? I can't find it anywhere on the website.
