Getting people to join site and register

Hi guys,

 

Do you all think it makes sense for each of us to send a big group e-mail to the classmates whose e-mails we have including a link to the class site and letting them know they can register there?

 

I am worried that if too many people are like me, they won’t be checking Facebook, so they won’t know about the link.

 

This way maybe we pull in more people and get the word out?
