"Reminder" is a song recorded by Canadian singer the Weeknd from his third studio album, Starboy (2016). It was written by him with Dylan Wiggins, DaHeala, and its producers Doc McKinney, Mano and Cirkut. The song was released to rhythmic contemporary radio on May 9, 2017, as the album's fourth single in the United States.
"Reminder" peaked at number 31 on the US Billboard Hot 100. It reached the top ten on both the R&B Songs chart and Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. The song also charted and peaked at number 16 on the Canadian Hot 100, reaching the top 20. The single was certified 3 Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for combined sales and streaming equivalent units of over three million units in the United States. In 2023, the song saw an increase in consumption as it went viral on the social media platform Tiktok, which led to the song charting at 109 on the Billboard Global 200.

"Reminder" has to be the most unique on The Weeknd's record Starboy. And that's just lyrically. The music side of the song is similar to other tracks, but while most of the other songs on the record focus on sex or self-definition based on fame, "Reminder" focuses on self-definition in relation to the music industry. It takes a slightly different tact than other songs and certainly contains quite a bit of information that we can use to learn about The Weeknd and his character Starboy.
In "Reminder," The Weeknd seems to be trying to prove to us that he's a big deal and that he's not kid friendly. The song focuses on telling us about how he's going to "remind" us that he exists and is popular, but on the other hand he wonders how he got a Teen Choice award for "Can't Feel My Face." The rest of the song seems to be an attempt to describe all of the reasons that he's actually not kid-friendly. "Reminder" is an interesting song, and there's more to it, of course, than what I've described here.
The Weeknd begins "Reminder" by singing "Record man, play my song on the radio." He's telling the music industry that he belongs on the front lines. He complains that it's too busy "trying to find that blue-eyed soul," which could be a reference to singers like Charlie Puth who sing soulfully and emotionally. The Weeknd wants them to listen to him and take him seriously.
The chorus is a simple reminder that The Weeknd will remind people of who he is. He sings, "You know me . . . . / Every time you try to forget who I am / I'll be right there to remind you again." He's not planning on going anywhere and wants to make it difficult for anyone to not take him seriously.

It was written about my very first day in India on my first trip there in 2007. It was an experience of me feeling more at home than I have ever felt in my whole life. In the song, I call to mind all the details of that first day: waking up at sunrise and watching the light spill across the city, seeing the holy river Ganges for the first time, driving up into the mountains as cows roaming the streets.
Now here I am, alone after a breakup listening to this song and feeling exactly what the writer was. I love this song and how I can connect to it, but I hate the feeling it speaks of. I wish I had done a better job at showing how much I loved her but it's too late for that. Now I have to wait and hope God will bring us together again.
This song i feel is about a guy who was so in love with a girl, without never really being with her in an official relationship. This guy is also so in love with the girl, but the girl doesn't feel the same way, like when he said "you never see my bleeding heart". At that very moment, he realizes that the girl doesnt like him in that way, and the guy is devastated, but he wants a reminder of the girl who he fell in love with, even though the girl broke his heart. He goes on to say in the song, "dont let me darken your door", meaning that he doesnt want to make her feel guilty that she doesnt feel the same way, and saying " i never know if im doing you wrong", meaning that he doesn't know how to deal with the situation that he is in and how he is going to move on. he also says that "ive been traveling oh so long" meaning that he has been feeling the same way about this girl for a while now, and he doesnt know what to do.
I love Mumford and Sons in general but after many years I reconnected with the love of my life, after the best 7 months of my life live separated us again.....today he sent "Reminder" to me in a email, no text, no comments just the link to the song!!!! I am so heart broken, I cannot imagine my future without him and to know that he is holding on to some hope that one day we will reconnect again brings me hope. This is so sad and pathetic that I seat here with tears all over my phone writing about my loss love, I am embarrassed to let my friends and family know that I am so weak when it comes to love....I rather live the rest of my days where my only company is loneliness than to live next to just someone!!!!! For now thank you Mumford and Sons for the deep love story in so many of your songs.....

Loved singing the song and it helped me understand the swchaa, but just wondering why would you teach it to kids? It does not appear to be a CCSS and knowing it doesn't help their reading, writing or spelling.

We assessed the effect of this intervention on the completion of screening hepatitis C antibody tests. We examined data from 2 years before and after the addition of the reminder. Completed hepatitis C antibody testing increased from 733 to 6502, and the rate of positive testing decreased from 5.9% to 2.0%. Implementing the electronic health record reminder and educating providers on the routine use of the Health Maintenance section increased hepatitis C screening for at risk adults.
