Quickstart Tennis Updates

Hello everyone,

Noticing that Monday is halloween, there will be no drop in tennis on
Monday, but the players on my team will add a Friday session for
Intermediate-Academy/High School players on Friday at 3:30 (I may not
be there, but Coaches Emily, Hannah and possibly more will be ready to
go).

This is still being confirmed, but I have requested from the USTA for
a Quickstart (10 and under tennis) training. The USTA will fly in a
trainer and EVERYONE who wants to be involved or know more about
running tennis for kids should attend. Teachers, parents, aunts
uncles, coaches of any sport who want to get expert training on how
run tennis specific to 10 and under players.

The training is probably going to be 9-12:30 and will be free if you
bring your own lunch or $6 if you would like lunch provided. We need
at least 20 attendees for the USTA to send thier national trainer, and
this is a wonderful chance to get involved in your kids tennis. We
are just catching up to sports like soccer, baseball etc, where the
first few years of playing are coached by parents who take training
classes - some of my best times as a kid were my dad coaching my
soccer and Little League team, let's do it for tennis in Walla Walla!

Also, please talk to any teachers at your schools as I don't have all
of their emails, spread the word.
