Problems downloading worldclim data in R?

Hi All,

So about 2 weeks ago, I was able to run the code to download the worldclim data, but in the last week I have been getting this error: 

Retrieving WorldClim data... Warning: getData will be removed in a future version of raster . Please use the geodata package insteadtrying URL 'https://biogeo.ucdavis.edu/data/climate/worldclim/1_4/tiles/cur/bio_13.zip' Warning: URL 'https://biogeo.ucdavis.edu/data/climate/worldclim/1_4/tiles/cur/bio_13.zip': Timeout of 600 seconds was reachedError in utils::download.file(url = aurl, destfile = fn, quiet = FALSE, : cannot open URL 'https://biogeo.ucdavis.edu/data/climate/worldclim/1_4/tiles/cur/bio_13.zip'

Is anyone else running into this issue?

[Wallace Ecological Modeling App]

I've been getting reports that WorldClim site was down last week. It happens from time to time. I think it may be back up now.

Hi, I have also been having problems with the worldclim data. The worldclim website seems to be up and running as I was able to download the rasters to my computer. I have the most updated versions of R and Wallace.  Thank you! Rachel

Wallace gives me this message in R and freezes each time (tried three different datasets on three different days):

Warning in raster::getData(name = "worldclim", var = "bio", res = bcRes, : getData will be removed in a future version of raster . Any updates on this? I have been trying to run for a couple of weeks now with no success. I always receive the same error message as Rachel mentioned above

We're currently working on a workaround. 

In the meantime, you can download your rasters directly from WorldClim and use the User-specified module for obtaining env data.

I have download the data from here https://geodata.ucdavis.edu/climate/ and use manually.
