Hey everyone,

This is just a heads up of a change that went through today for both the /itemtypes/# call and the /sets/# call. As you may know, we hide any mix information and category information for 24 hours in these calls - this is to preserve some secrecy in the game. As of today, we are extending this to the description, store cost, and store duration parameters. We have done this for description as we quite often leave clues on how to complete certain mixes in the description - having this information available could lead to people purchasing items they need for the mix before getting the new item thus giving a slight advantage. Similarly, we have decided to hide the store costs and durations so that it isn't obvious when we launch an item whether it will be an item that appears by foraging, an item that appears in the store, or both. As we already hide the foraging information for 24 hours, it seemed sensible to do this for the store information.

The above shouldn't require any changes in your code as the parameters are still there but will just be blank - for description, this shouldn't matter and your code probably already handles this use case for the store calls (as forage / mix items don't have this information anyway). As usual, if there are any problems please let me know.

Aside from this, we've also tidied up the /sets/# call so that it exactly matches the /itemtypes/# data (as there were a few minor differences we hadn't caught). For instance, both calls now provide the last issued number of an item type.

Thanks,

Ben

I dig this change. It'll make finding new items more challenging. That may frustrate some, but not enough to keep them away. This shouldn't impact what we've done on http://itembrowser.com which makes me happy too :)
