o San Francisco-Based VIM lands $24 Million in Second Round of Funding

San Francisco -- Vim, the San Francisco-based developer of a healthcare technology platform used for collaboration between health plans and care providers, said on Monday it has landed $24 million in its second round of funding, led by Optum Ventures. "We’ve already proven we can drive a meaningful impact in Washington, Alaska, Florida and Texas, and we’re excited to leverage our recent investment to reach more patients and care providers.”

o Survey: Two-Thirds of Parents Say Digital Age Has Made Parenting Harder

San Francisco -- More than 67% of parents surveyed believe the digital age has made parenting more difficult, and 25% wish the Internet was never invented, according to a new survey from San Francisco-based Life360. Of parents with children older than 13, more than half (56%) said they access their social media accounts for monitoring purposes, which they check 3.4 times a day, on average. In addition, two of the top three concerns for parents of elementary-aged children are specific to the digital age -- 47% worry their kids are spending too much time in front of screens, and 41% are concerned they're being negatively influenced by the media. The results, available at the link below, are based on an online survey of 2,000 U.S. parents with children ages 6-25, conducted by OnePoll
