The deal, which consists of 60% cash on hand and the remainder in stock, is expected to close by the end of January. The company said it will use the proceeds to bolster its marketing and field operations, product engineering, channel and customer success programs. Remediant's flagship SecureONE product is designed to protect organizations from stolen credentials being used against them. The companies, including top U.S. carriers AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile and Sprint, plan to adopt eight principles, such as implementing call-blocking technology at the network level, making available additional free call blocking and labeling tools, launching tools to authenticate that callers are coming from a valid source, and monitoring their networks for robocall traffic. Phone companies also have agreed to assist the attorneys general with anti-robocall enforcement. "We applaud the efforts of these telecommunications companies to stop unwanted robocalls,"said California Attorney General Xavier Becerra. "Robocalls initiated from fake numbers are more than just a nuisance -- they're illegal. Today's announcement is a useful step toward eliminating these types of calls, which far too often lead to identify theft and financial loss." Americans received approximately 4.7 billion robocalls in July, according to YouMail. Swisscom Ventures and AJU IB Investment joined the round, which was led by Intel Capital. The company announced the initial $20 million tranche in April. Tibit makes pluggable devices designed to virtualize the access network using Ethernet switching equipment.
