Where: Talking Water Gardens, 577 Waverly Dr NE, Albany
Join the Fitwalkers as they do the summer version of their 5/10k Talking
Waters walk.
Description: "Walk includes the nationally recognized Talking Waters
Garden (a 50-acre man-made wetlands park, re-purposed from a lumber
mill), Waverly Lake Park and the two Swan Lakes in a residential
neighborhood, all connected by Cox Creek. This walk often provides bird
watching opportunities. Herons, geese, ducks and a wide range of small
birds are often seen on this walk."
Driving directions: I-5 southbound, exit 234B, Right at next traffic
light & left at next traffic light (Salem Rd), right on Davidson, right
on Front which will join Waverly to the TWG parking lot. I-5 northbound:
exit 234. Left on Knox Butte Rd and then follow above directions.

Tue, February 28, Mt Angel - Old German Town
When: Registration 9:45 – Walk 10:00am – 12:30pm
Where: Mount Angel Towers, 1 Towers Ln, Mt Angel

Description: This walk starts by going up to the Abbey (founded 1881).
You will pass the stations of the cross, a small grotto, a pioneer
church and cemetery, and chapel on the campus. The route then goes
through this unique German town passing St. Mary's Church, the
Glockenspiel Restaurant (largest Glockenspiel in the U.S.), a second
pioneer cemetery, a hops field, 2 parks, and an historic railroad
station. Walk is rated 2 because of the Abbey hill, the rest of the walk
is 1A. .
Driving directions: From the north on I-5, take the Woodburn exit #271,
follow the signs east to Mt. Angel along Hwy 214. Turn left on Church
St./ From the south on I-5 take Market St. exit #256 (Salem). Follow the
signs east along Hwy 213 to Silverton. At the traffic light, turn left
on "C" St. to First St., turn left on First St./Hwy 214 to Mt. Angel.
Turn right on Church St. Follow Church St. up the hill (Church becomes
College St.) to Towers Lane on Left. Start Book is at the Reception
Desk. Please do not park under the carport!

248 Cheshire Avenue. From I-5 take exit 194B west.stay in right lane
take exit 2 (Downtown) Stay straight Downtown/U of O. At light enter
right lane as you cross ferry street bridge. Take first right after
bridge 3rd Avenue. Go 2 blks. Right on High Street.curving left and
becomes Cheshire Avenue. Go 0.45 miles and right into parking by
playground and the restrooms.

Walk on paved paths in areas of Historic Downtown Eugeneand enjoy
viewing 19 of the more than 20 murals on various buildings on the walk
route. these murals were painted by a selection of international artists
from around the world

Important event information
This is a TGW event with registration between 9:45 to 10 AM. Group walks
will be available but people can walk with family/friends or by
themselves. The 5k focuses on this small town's downtown business
residential areas while the 11K also includes a walk in the countryside
on both sides of 99W. Daffodils will be blooming along with cherry
trees. Routes will mostly be done on paved walkways.
Directions to the start table
5th Street, west of 99W (right southbound 99W & left northbound 99W).
Park is about 1/4 mile from intersection on the right. Amity is about 10
miles south of McMinnville on 99W.
Comments
For many years there was a popular AVA Daffodil walk in Amity. This walk
provides an opportunity for walkers to become reacquainted with this
Polk County town in the Willamette Valley. Wineries and Brigittine
Monastery are located here

Walk will go through nice older neighborhood and on paved trail along

The walk will begin at the Historic Weddle covered bridge, and will take
off on well groomed trail with nice views of the surrounding mountains
and forested areas. Much of the walk will stay on paved areas of Sweet
home with many challenges along the route. Something for everyone on
this walk CAUTION: watch out for BIG FOOT.

Highway 20 drive 14 miles to enter Sweet Home. Right on 12th street.

Participate in one of the sanctioned events for National Walk Week. This
resurrects one of our older Cedar Miler walks in the Murrayhill area.
We'll be visiting several small parks and traveling along the regional
power line path.
Start: Murrayhill Safeway, 14555 SW Teal Blvd, Beaverton, OR 97007
From Hwy 217, take the SW Scholls Ferry Rd exit and turn west. Turn
right at SW Murray Blvd, then left at SW Osprey Rd and immediately left
into the Safeway parking lot. Please arrive early enough to sign up and

GROUP WALK starting at 9:30 am. The walk will have two - 5 km loops. The
first loop is rated 1A and will go by many historic homes and will go on
the Promenade overlooking the downtown and Willamette River. The second
loop is rated 2A and will go into the downtown area and along the
