Important event information
This South Salem walk starts going through a large cemetery and then through the lovely, hilly
Candalaria residential neighborhood. The 10k continues on natural trails and in forests to the
Fairmount neighborhood. The Fairmount route goes past the Governor's Mansion and other
attractive mansions and gardens. The 5k doesn't go to the Governor's Mansion.

Salem City Center on Mission St for 3 miles to Commercial St, passing Salem Hospital. Left on

The 5K walk travels on unimproved trails through Happy Valley Park and then through
neighborhoods and green space. The 10k walk continues on boardwalk through wetlands, goes
along Mt. Scott Creek and then up a 3 Block hills to reach breathtaking views of the valley. It then
continues downhill through nature areas.

start at 6:45am and last bus will be at 8:30am, to take you to the start at Dismal Nitch rest area,
Washington. You must have your "bib number" visible to be able to board a bus.Start time is

"sweep bus" will be picking you up.Traffic will be stopped for only 2 hours from crossing the
bridge.

Important event information
This South Salem walk starts going through a large cemetery and then through the lovely, hilly
Candalaria residential neighborhood. The 10k continues on natural trails and in forests to the
Fairmount neighborhood. The Fairmount route goes past the Governor's Mansion and other
attractive mansions and gardens. The 5k doesn't go to the Governor's Mansion.

The 5K walk travels on unimproved trails through Happy Valley Park and then through
neighborhoods and green space. The 10k walk continues on boardwalk through wetlands, goes
along Mt. Scott Creek and then up a 3 Block hills to reach breathtaking views of the valley. It then
continues downhill through nature areas.

Boarding of transport buses will
start at 6:45am and last bus will be at 8:30am, to take you to the start at Dismal Nitch rest area,
Washington. You must have your "bib number" visible to be able to board a bus.Start time is
8:45am, you have a maximum time of 2 hours to complete your participation, if not finished a
"sweep bus" will be picking you up.Traffic will be stopped for only 2 hours from crossing the
bridge.
