This walk will have 3 different 5 km loops and 1- 6 km loop through nice neighborhoods and
community parks.

Important event information
The walk will have three different five (5) km loops and one (6) km loop with all returning to the
start/finish/ checkpoint area. The SE loop (1A) will mainly be in Pacific Community Park on paved
or gravel trails. The NW loop (1B) goes mainly thru nice neighborhoods and one small wooded
park with dirt trail. The SW loop (1A) is mainly through neighborhoods with expensive homes on
quiet streets and sidewalks. The NE loop (1A) is 6 km and goes into very nice neighborhood and
on paved trails in wooded areas.. Door prizes of sparkling soda and champagne randomly
awarded

McMenamins East Vancouver, 1900 NE 162nd Ave., B-107 I-205 take exit #27
(Camas/SR14)East to exit #8 (SE 164th Ave.) LEFT on 164th Ave continue as it turns into 162nd
Ave. for a total of 3 miles to NE 18th St. Left on 18th St. then immediately right into shopping
center. McMenamins is located on the far NE corner of the shopping center.

second loop will be in the beautiful Grant District. The third loop will go to Irvington Park.

Important event information
McMenamins Broadway will not open until 10:00 and it will take the our volunteers about 15
minutes to set up so don't plan on starting early. Please respect the staff as they are actually
opening an hour early just for this walk.

Directions to the start table
1504 NE Broadway. From I-5 take exit 302A Broadway - Welder St, (North bound turn RIGHT
on Welder)(South bound turn LEFT on Welder) Continue to 15th St. LEFT on 15th St one block
and the Broadway McMenamins will be on your left. This is a Holiday (New Years Day) so
parking is free.
Comments
There will be three 5 km loops. The first loop (Blumenauer Bridge) is in the Lloyd District and will
cross the Blumenauer Bridge and return going through Holiday Park. The second loop (Grant
Park) will go through the Grant District by very nice and beautiful homes to Grant Park and the
newly renovated Grant High School. The third loop (Irvington Park) will go through the historic
Irvington Park District and into Irvington Park. This route will be on different streets from the
Historic Irvington Park YRE.

Broadway Coffeehouse, 1300 Broadway St NE, Salem
Join the Wanderers as they walk their NE Salem - Grant & Highland Neighborhoods routes, hich are, north of the State Capitol, 5k/10k, rated 1A. Grant neighborhood has lovely residences nd gardens. Highland routes include the heavily remodeled Herbert Hoover childhood house. A street mural is in each area.
Driving Directions: I-5 exit 256 Market Street. Left northbound and right southbound to Market St. Go 2 miles to Broadway. Right on Broadway to next traffic light at Hood. Right on Hood and immediate right to parking lot behind Broadway Commons. Can also park on nearby streets.
From OR22W: Left on Liberty St. after crossing Center Street bridge. Go about 1/2 mile to intersection with Broadway. Left on Broadway to Hood St. (2nd street after Market at next traffic light. Follow above directions,
