     Walk through three distinct areas: the planned community of
Fairview, Fairview Park which includes several larger-than-life carved
statues, and then around Salish Pond.

Willamette River in this City Park.
Dorris Ranch, founded in 1892, started the country's first commercial

Important event information
This walk in a Springfield City Park starts almost a mile SW from
downtown. Enjoy a scenic walk
along the Middle Fork of the Willamette River. The out-back route
provides many views of the
Willamette River on a paved trail. The 12k goes to Clearwater Park with
restrooms before
returning to the start. Dorris Ranch was founded in 1892 and started the
country's first commercial
filbert business in 1905. Eastern Filbert Blight hit the trees in 2015
which were removed in
phases & finished in Nov 2024. The final planting of blight-resistant
trees in 40 acres was done
in Jan 2025.

Dorris Ranch Park, Springfield, From I-5, exit 191. Right on Glenwood at
stop sign; Right on
OR126 at traffic light, follow signs to downtown Springfield and go
through 2 traffic circles to cross
Willamette River bridge. Right on 2nd St (2nd on right; Pioneer Pkwy
West) on left). Go
almost one mile and through gate at Dorris Ranch City Park and turn Left
to parking lot where the
walk begins.

   Join the Willamette Wanderers as they walk their Parks, Creek, Trail
& More 5/k10k routes.
The 10k includes a hilly section of newer houses while both routes include
the shady Rickreall Creek Trail and the new Japanese Garden in City Park.
    Meet at Tater’s Cafe, 683 SE Jefferson St, Dallas,  Don’t park in
their parking lot.
    Driving directions:    From OR22 West & OR99W: west on OR223
(becomes Ellendale Ave).
Left at traffic light at Kings Valley Hwy. OR223 is then known as Main
St. Turn left at Oak
from Main and then left on Jefferson. Tater's on the left.

Sunset Park SW Corvallis. From Corvallis west on highway 20 to 3rd light
at 35th Street. Left on
35th street to curve Right onto Country Club Road continue on Country
Club to 45th St. Right and
immediate Left into parking area. Rest rooms at Sunset Park a short
distance. The walk starts on
the board walk at the South West corner of the lot.
Comments
The restrooms are in Sunset Park, a short walk on the side walk at the
south end of the parking
lot. this walk could be a little damp or slightly muddy on the trail for
the 10k. wear appropriate
shoes

Rock Creek Trail Walk – YRE 0818
    Walk heads straight to Orchard Park with its boardwalk and along
tree lined streets onto the Rock Creek Trail and neighborhoods in the
Rock Creek area. The route continues to the new Orenco Woods Nature Park
before returning.

This is a TGW event with registration between 9:45 to 10 AM. Group walks
will be available but
people do not have to walk with the groups. The 5k focuses on this small
town's downtown
business and residential areas while the 11K also includes a walk in the
countryside on both sides
of 99W. Daffodils will be blooming along with cherry trees. Routes will
mostly be done on paved
walkways.

Amity City Park, 510 S Trade St. Right on 5th Street from southbound 99W
& left on 5th St. from
northbound 99W. Park is about 1/4 mile from 99W on the right. Amity is
about 10 miles south of
McMinnville on 99W.
Comments
For many years there was a popular AVA Daffodil walk in Amity. This walk
provides an
opportunity for walkers to become reacquainted with this Yamhill County
town in the Willamette
Valley. Wineries and Brigittine Monastery are located here OTSVA: High
Schools, Justice, Nuts,

rapids Pizza Co. from I-5
South same from exit 191. From Springfield, Take main Street West cross
bridge and go a short
distance and Right into Roaring rapids Pizza.
Comments
Note: the pizza Co. opens at 11:00 am, hence the 11:00 start time for
available restrooms. This
walk will be on trails along the Willamette River as well as through
Alton Baker park and the
University of Oregon. The start and finish at the Pizza Company has a
varied menu and nice
outdoor seating along a nice section of the river. About 40% of the walk
will be on soft chip trails
with the remainder on wide bile paths. please beware of bicycle traffic
along the route.
