Day use passes required at this area of one of the most rugged yet
beautiful views, on this 2700
acre area set asidein 1966, of the Oregon Coast. Friendly and
Knowledgeable naturalists are
available to answer questions and provide interpretive services along
Cape Perpetua's 27 miles of
trails.
Directions to the start table
2400 US Hwy. 101. Cape Perpetua is located 20 miles North of Florence OR
and about 2 miles
South of Yachats OR. Park at the Visitors Center day use parking area.
The walk will begin from
the Visitors Center.
Comments
Towering 800 feet over the protected shoreline, the Cape Perpetua
Headland is the highest
viewpoint accessible by car in Oregon. This consists of 2700 hundred
acres among which are
giant Spruce tree's along its 26 miles of hiking trails. Open 7 days a
week, the visitors center
offers cultural and natural history of the area. with a beautiful rugged
coastline a nd great
viewpoints this walk will not disappoint. Following the walk it is a
short drive up the coast to
friendly Yachats to enjoy a nice lunch. It is suggested to bring water
and snacks as this walk, with
tis many attractions could take a little longer than your average walk.
There are restrooms and
water at the start and along the route. Pets are welcome, all leash and
cleanup laws apply.There
is a US FOREST Fee for using the Rec. and parking lot. Passes honored:

Walk on Street shoulders and sidewalks in nice residential
areas then circle the inside of Blue Lake Park. (NOTE- Dogs are not
allowed in Blue Lake Park so if you bring your dog you would have a 15
to 20 minute wait until we finish the inside Blue Lake Park.) 6 km
returns to start and the 10km circles Fairview Lake and the many
beautiful new homes.
The walk is rated 1A for the 6 km & 10 km

Oceanside/Netarts. Drive 1.8 miles & Right on Bay Ocean Drive. Drive 5.3

Cape Meares Loop rd. Go 2 miles and Right on Lighthouse Road. Then 1/2
mile to the day use
parking. Day Use Parking Pass required.

Known for its Lighthouse, stunning views and the Octopusshaped Sitka
Spruce, Cape Meares
State Viewpoint is a must see when arriving at the park. The out and
back trail will take us past
the Octopus Tree and to the largest Sitka Spruce in Oregon. After
returning the trail will go along
the lighthouse road a short way to a trail that brings you to the beach
portion of the walk, you will
then return up to and a walk around the Cape Meares Lighthouse.

One of the more beautiful areas of the Oregon Coast with unique beach's
and excellent views.
The trail can be quite demanding in places along the 6k out and back,
but well worth doing. The
11k continues on the cannon beach Trailto end at a hikers camp ground
and returns on the
Clatsop Loop Trail. While at the Hikers camp you can walk out 1/8 miles
to a view point to see the
Tillamook Rock Lighthouse more than a mile off shore. This can be a
demanding hike, bring
snacks and water. Walking sticks recommended.Pets on leash are welcome.

Description: Depoe Bay is Oregon's Whale Watching Capital This walk
traverses the small community of Depoe Bay. The 10k route does the three
loops: a forested trail loop and two coastal residential loops on bluffs
providing beautiful views of the Pacific Ocean. The 5k is the forest
trail rated 2C (2B option). The 6k focuses on the two coastal loops. All
loops include downtown. Walking poles are suggested. Walk includes the
World's Smallest Harbor.
Driving directions: Gracie's is located on Hwy 101 in the downtown area.

This is an awesome trails walk with diversified stands of forest and
fauna. abounding with much
wildlife in the area. A great way to spend a warm summer day walking at

The walk is mostly on a converted RR right of way with compacted
gravel surface. The walk will go along the Lewis River and pass Moulton
Falls and Yacolt Falls (Big Tree Creek Falls). There is about a km of
natural paths with small sections that require your attention or can be
bypassed.
The walk is rated 1B (easy) for the 5 km, 2B (moderate for the10 km).

Fairgrounds Group Walk – Event
The walk is two 5 km loops. The fairgrounds 5 km loop will be done
for both the 5km and 10 routes. This route will start in the park and
use a small connector trail to the fairground entrance (1.5km). Once
inside the Fairgrounds walkers will do a 2 km loop in the fair an then
return to Fairgrounds Community Park. The other loop (done at the
start) for the 10 km walkers will walk along a paved road with one of
the largest Little Libraries and then walk on trails inside Whipple
Creek and return to the Fairgrounds Park for the start of the second
loop. Free fair tickets should be available for all walkers. If you
can get some from your local Fred Meyers, please bring them with you.
The Walk is rated 1B (easy) for the 5 km and 2B (moderate) for the
10 km.
