Important event information
There is no Park entry fee on this day. Two 5k routes in historic park
with Methodist Mission 1834 settlement. Walk on paved/dirt paths through
Park's diverse 1300 acres. There will be a 10k group walk and a 5k group
walk but walkers can choose not to walk in a group but with written
directions and map. Trail will not be marked.

See US's largest black cottonwood planted ca 1750 and Wheatland Ferry,

Alsea Falls Recreation Site, Monroe Oregon
Comments

A two loop walk thru pristine forests along the Alsea River with its
many waterfalls to walk along. After having done either or both loops
you may walk down a short trail to the Alsea Falls and listen to the
cascading water over the rock surface as it flows down stream. Bring as
picnic lunch after the walk in the day use area. Restrooms are available
at the start. walkers should bring their own water. All walkers are
required to sign waivers prior to walking. All leash and cleanup laws
apply. Challenges for this walk will be provided at the start. Day
parking passes are required and are available at the kiosk. in the day
use parking are. America the Beautiful, or interagency passes will work

REI: 7410 SW Bridgeport Rd · Tigard, OR
Join us for a 5K or 10K guided walk. Walk a short distance in Bridgeport
Village then on trails that take you into Tualatin Community Park and
onto a footbridge traveling over the Tualatin River and on trails
through Cook Park and Durham City Park.These walks are rated 1A, easy.
We walk about 3 miles per hour. Register from 9:40 - 9:55 am. Please
arrive early to sign in so the walk can start at 10 am. Look for us
outside the entrance. Please consider a $2.00 donation so we can
continue our walks.

Important event information
Because of crowds we do not recommend pets. Free Parking is on the
street but because this is in a Monday thru Friday working area, there
has been plenty of free parking available to walkers on Saturday morning.

Because of the change in the Rose Festival Parade Route this walk will
have a added 5 km loop along with the 2 loops that have been held in the
past. LOOP #1 crosses Hawthorne Bridge past Dragon Boat Races, Rose
Festival City Fair, thru Saturday market, then return back to the start
by crossing the Burnside Bridge LOOP #2 will go towards the Lloyd Center
using 12th Ave going past the old Benson High School to Lloyd Blvd where
the parade will pass. The walk then will return across the new
pedestrian bridge. There will be a group walk for 5 and 10 km Walkers
starting at 10:15.

Take I-5 Exit 174, at first traffic signal, turn left onto Row River Rd.
Across from main entrance to Village Green (on right), turn left onto
Jim Wright Way, then left onto Village Drive toward Middlefield Village.
Pro Shop is on left at west end of parking lot. Open dawn to dusk:
closed Christmas. Ask for Volkswalk box. Directions for short drive to
start point are with the walk directions.

Sacajawea statue, to and on

Description:  A short but demanding walk along well established trails,
including some wooden and stone stair cases, along with a couple of wood
foot bridges with great viewpoints of the several waterfalls with in the
park. A great way to spend a spring day and enjoy a picnic lunch at the
picnic area along the river. Pets are welcome all leash and cleanup laws
apply. Walkers must sign waivers prior to walking.
Driving directions: 43170 McDowell Creek Drive, Lebanon OR McDowell
Creek County Park. Drive South on Hwy. 20 from Lebanon drive about 6
miles. Stay in left lane and turn LEFT just after Brown colored McDowell
Creek Park sign, cross tracks then Right onto Fairview drive. Veer LEFT
at next intersection onto McDowell Creek Drive. Continue for about 12.5
mile to a right into the parking area.

Walk on paved bike paths and roadways to the Starvation Creek Falls,
Cabin Creek Falls, Hole in
the Wall Falls, and viewpoint of Lancaster Falls. The 10 km route will
go thru the State Park to
the Columbia River. The 5km suitable for strollers and wheelchairs and
rated 1A. 10km hard for
strollers and not suitable wheelchairs and rated 1B.

Viento State Park - I-84 EASTBOUND: Exit #56. RIGHT at end of exit ramp
to parking area.
Parking is limited. If you have an Oregon State park permit, please park
on the north side of the
freeway and walk back to the south side. We do walk past the north
parking lot at the end of the
walk so those that park on the nrth parking area will reach their car first.
Comments
Restrooms at the 2.5 km and 6 km. Not at start. There may be more than
one group walking
depending on the number of walkers

Join the Fitwalkers as they do the summer version of their 5/10k Talking
Waters walk.
Description: "Walk includes the nationally recognized Talking Waters
Garden (a 50-acre man-made wetlands park, re-purposed from a lumber
mill), Waverly Lake Park and the two Swan Lakes in a residential
neighborhood, all connected by Cox Creek. This walk often provides bird
watching opportunities. Herons, geese, ducks and a wide range of small
birds are often seen on this walk."
Driving directions:  "I-5 southbound, exit 234B, Right at next traffic
light & left at next traffic light (Salem Rd), right on Davidson, right
on Front which will join Waverly to the TWG parking lot.  I-5
northbound: exit 234. Left on Knox Butte Rd and then follow above
directions.

Description: After Registering at the Hallmark Resort Hotel it’s a short
drive North to Agate Beach Parking to start the walk. Just North of
Newport Oregon this is a great trail walk along with a short walk on
Agate Beach with a view of the Lighthouse located out on the Yaquina
Head point. The 10k and 5k walks start at Agate Beach parking area with
a walk on the Beach and along a trail on the east side of Hwy.101.Enjoy
dining of the many places in Newport or do one of the additional walks
that you can register at the Hallmark Resort.
Driving directions:  Directions to the Walk start will be on the walk
directions and map available at the start. From Hwy 20 at intersection
with Hwy 101 go straight at the light onto Olive Street. Continue on
Olive to end at Elizabeth Street. Turn left on Elizabeth about 4 blocks
to Hallmark Resort on the right. From Hwy 101 North or South Bound; at
lighted intersection turn West on Olive Street, toward the ocean, and
follow directions as above.

lane as you turn Left on Boones Ferry Rd, Quick Right on 72nd & then
Left on Durham Rd, Right
on Hall Blvd in about a mile. Right on Wall St in a mile at traffic
light to library. I-5 southbound:
exit 293 toward Haines St taking you Right on Dartmouth; Left on 72nd at
traffic light for 2 1/4
miles; Right on Durham Rd for about 1 mile; Right on Hall Blvd for 1
mile; Right on Wall to library
at traffic light.. Registration in parking lot.
Comments
There will be group walks for both 5k/10k routes at 9 AM. Walkers can do
this walk on their own
with written directions/maps. The routes follow the Fanno Creek Trail

Esther Short Park. The
East Loop will take you thru the Fort Vancouver National Historic Site

Howard House, and Grant House. You will also be able to see the historic
Pearson Air Field &
Museum. You will tour thru the historic Vancouver Barracks. The
Northwest Loop will take you
thru some beautiful old Vancouver neighborhoods & parks, and a meander
thru the historic
Uptown commercial district
