maven build when running walkmod "check" or "apply" command

Hi!

It's my first steps with walkmod and i am wondering why a Maven build is proceeded each time i run a command like "walkmod check" or "walkmod install".

Is there any parameter to prevent Maven from building the project each time i run a command ? I would like to reduce the command execution duration and it seems that the major part of this duration is for the maven stuffs.

Or maybee there is a reason for always running the maven build ?
