Hello WalkMedford!

Please join us for our next meeting which will be held at Deep Cuts Deli on October 15, 7:00 PM.

We are hosting incumbent city council candidate Emily Lazzaro and city council candidate and former WalkMedford advocate Miranda Briseño for a community Q&A regarding safe streets.

Note: WalkMedford doesn’t endorse candidates*.  However, Emily was a valuable ally during her last term in city council, taking action on several issues, including pushing state agencies for more action in the wake of two deaths of local senior citizens who were killed by a driver when out for a neighborhood walk.

Miranda was an active advocate for WalkMedford in the past, has worked in the city of Medford, and currently works for MassDOT, and is a candidate that is very knowledgeable about the issues around our local and state-managed roads.

We’ll discuss how we as a community can continue to make our streets safer for residents of all ages and abilities over the next two years.

Please RSVP here in advance if you can: https://evite.me/YyyFHGchC9
so we have an idea of how many to expect.

Another action item!!!
*we do need to update and get out the 2025 WM Platform! Please reach out to safewal...@gmail.com if you are interested in spending an hour on Zoom or in person, going over the current platform, making revisions for this year, and getting this out to Medford candidates to sign on to. Ideally we'd have 2-3 people on this work.

Yours on foot,
Ellery Klein
