I've seen a few sites like this, and they're an excellent idea.
However, with the fact that routes can be public, how do people feel
about submitting routes that begin at their house?

I presume a lot of people run from and back to home, so by publicising
your running route, you're giving away a pretty precise indicator of
where you live.

Sorry if this sounds negative, but I just wondered if people had
similar fears?

I will suggest a solution: if a route starts and finishes at the same
place, could it the website show it as a continuous loop, where the
user can start and finish at any point along the loop?

Obviously this doesn't handle the case where users finish in a
different location.

Cheers,
Rikki

Rikki - hi there. Glad you like the site (or the idea of the site at
least)

We've honestly not gotten any complaints or worries from people about
privacy. However, if you are worried - and I would imagine that there
are people who are - we do offer the option to make your routes
private, all you need to do is create an account (yes, its free) and
the "make route private" option will show up in the save dialog.
Marking a route as private only makes it available to you, when logged
in.

Thanks,
Jeff
