Need help with parking for access to routes

Thanks to this great site, I walked the Fresh Pond route in Cambridge
the day before yesterday, but it required driving around twice to find
a place that was quasi-legal to park. AND I was told that the
Cambridge residents like to keep it to themselves, and even the local
Whole Foods parking lot is reserved for shoppers. I suppose it keeps
out the “riff-raff” like me.

Does anyone have advice on a place to park while taking this run? For
that matter, it would help to have a place to put this information in
for all / any of the routes. I take public transit when possible, but
there are times I can’t add an additional hour plus to the route to
get there and back. And not knowing where I can park makes me a less
adventurous walk/jog/runner.
