Zoom Meeting on e-bikes and greenways on 6/30 at 6pm

BCycle is about to go back into operation and will rent 300 docked class 1 e-bikes. The scooter companies, Bird, Lime and Spin, will also begin renting about two hundred dockless class 1 e-bikes. Bike friendly cities have a robust bike share system.
The Parks Department bans e-bikes from greenways by prohibiting “motorized vehicles”. Bcycle is asking them to allow Class 1 e-bikes on greenways. Class 1 are pedal assist with a limit of 20 MPH. We anticipate it will be discussed at the Parks Board meeting on July 6 although the agenda is not yet available.
We’re going to discuss what we can do to support bike share in Nashville Wednesday at 6 pm on a zoom call. If you’re interested in helping feel free to join us. Link is below.
