The three companies chosen by Metro to operate SUMDs (scooters) will be up for approval this Thursday at the meeting of the Metro Transportation Licensing Commission. The three are Lime (essentially owned by Uber), Spin, owned by Ford, and Bird.
If you have any questions or concerns you think should be discussed let me know off list. All three companies have promised to make e-bikes available as part of their fleet. They also promised to prevent riding on sidewalks.
The MTLC doesn’t have any staff to monitor them but hopefully the Cooper administration will remedy that in their next budget.
