Upcoming BPAC Meet
The Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Commission will meet at 5 p.m. December 15 in the Sonny West Auditorium at Howard School.
Highlights are a presentation on the East Bank, statistics on parking tickets issued in 2025 and the BPAC annual report to the Mayor and Council which might suggest we build more sidewalks and bike lanes. Full presentation should be attached to this email.

Lime and LAB Study and Report Includes Nashville
The League of American Bicyclists and Lime Corporation issued a report based on data from several cities including Nashville. Findings were that scooter and bike riders like good bike lanes. Shocking, I know.

Future of Siegenthaler Bike Ped Bridge During Construction

Councilmember Sean Parker — whose district includes portions of the East Bank — raised concerns about the lack of a written commitment that ensures access to the bridge and expressed worries that suburban commuters might be prioritized over those who walk and bike along the bridge daily.
“I’m a little bit worried about these concerns getting kind of crowded out by these very loud, very well-resourced stakeholders that manage to have lobbyists at all these meetings … I have some heartburn about the potential of [the bridge] closing for a long stretch,” Parker said at Thursday’s meeting.
