For those looking at cameras for their bike, the GoPro is a good one, Garmin makes them as well, but my favorite is the Cycliq. Cycliq makes a front and rear camera but both have built in lights as well. To increase your visibility it’s recommended to use lights both day and night. Bontrager makes the best rear light for daytime visibility, but not one with a camera. I never ride without my rear light. If you’d like to check out the Cycliq we’ll have them back in stock later this week.

The protected lane is in and is pretty great, lots of green paint. However,
still not sure how I'm supposed to get into it coming from Charlotte and
going from right side to left.

The Cycliq Fly12 is supposed to be one of the better bike cams
https://cycliq.com/products/fly12/ (and a headlight)

I'd like one but the price is a bit steep.

I've read lots of good things about the cycliq. I have a go-pro that I
received as a present. It's great, but I don't think the battery lasts as
long as the cycliq.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a camera? Are there some that are
specially designed for bike helmets?

Yes as to bike helmet cameras. I do not know any brands other that GoPro
(or however it is spelled).

Michelle,

Thanks for the information! I am glad to know there is some place to go to actually look at these lights and get a feel for which one would be right.
