I don’t believe this has been very well publicized. I didn’t realize the name was changed.

What is the purpose of the community meeting?

The Metro Planning Department invites you to a public meeting where Planning staff will provide information on a request to amend the Major and Collector Street Plan (MCSP). The proposed amendment would add a new street network to the Wasioto Bend (formerly East Bend) area. Wasioto Bend is bounded by Korean Veterans Boulevard on the west, Shelby Avenue on the north, Interstate 24 on the east and northeast, and the Cumberland River on the south. The Metro Planning Department is the applicant for this request.

When and where will the community meeting be held?

The community meeting will take place on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the Development Services Conference Room at the Metro Office Building, located at 800 President Ronald Reagan Way, Nashville TN 37210.

Where does one see a copy of the proposed amendment? I didn't see a link to it in the announcement. Surely the intent is not simply to announce a meeting, assume that if you are able to attend the meeting then you're not interested in the proposed design.

I have not seen any information about the proposed amendment either. I did confirm with the project team that this meeting is happening next Wednesday, although there has been little to no public notice. This MCSP amendment will form the basis of the designs for all streets within the new Wasioto Bend neighborhood, including the portion of East Bank Boulevard that extends east of KVB. How these streets are designed will determine how people are able to move to and through this new neighborhood and will have significant impacts for the adjacent East Nashville neighborhoods as well. This is really important if you are able to come out and share your thoughts. I will try to share any information I’m able to get here as well.
