Okay, here we go.....
T-shirts for the Walkers have been ordered and will be ready by July 20th. They will be white shirts with 3 different colors of ink (blue, pink, and black), with our logo on them. For a donation to the most recent victim, walkers who donate will get a t-shirt.
Tucson Police Department has been confirmed to be there as well. Two officers will be there; one on a bicycle and one officer with a police vehicle.
We have now confirmed a Food Vendor. East Coast Super Subs will be present at the Walk with their food truck, and will have hot and cold subs, appetizers, and drinks available for all of the guests.
I've spoken to the Red Cross and it looks like it may be too difficult to have an actual blood drive for victims, but the Red Cross will be present to provide information on dog bites and how to stay safe....they will also be looking to sign up donators for future blood drives.
We have picked up some materials to offer a sign-making station at the Walk; poster boards and markers.
We will also have some copies of Alexandra Semynova's book available: "The 100 Silliest Things People Say About Dogs."
There will be two bands playing for our enjoyment, we should have those confirmed soon.
We are working on confirming speakers. If you are interested in speaking or volunteering to assist with anything for the Walk, please leave a comment on the Website with contact information.
Stay tuned for more updates.
