I am organizing a silent bike ride from Amsterdam to Jerusalem www.silentbikeride.org. I joined Ecotopia Biketour last year and it inspired me to do this trip. It somehow is an experiment, to see what will happen if a group of people is traveling in silence. The idea is not to be completely silent, but to cut mind based talks, like discussions, and to replace chitchat with an eye gaze session or a massage.
The ride starts in the beginning of August 2010 and will finish three months later. I will provide a route plan including dates, so people can join in, for some days, weeks or months :-).
