May 9 APBP Webinar
There's growing evidence that providing great places to walk and bicycle is a successful strategy for maintaining or restoring economic vitality, and this APBP Webinar, Economic Benefits of Walkable and Bike Friendly Communities, is especially timely for BWAM, as getting the economics benefits message out is one of our current projects! Please join us on Thursday, May 9, noon, at the Garlington, Lohn, & Robinson conference room at 350 Ryman Street. More details here or pre-register before 11:00 am Wed. 5/8 to enjoy a free lunch donated by the Buttercup Market and Cafe.

Advocacy Meeting -- May 14, 11 a.m.
| The BWAM Advocacy Committee regular meetings are on the 2nd Tuesday of each month. Please join us at 11 AM, Tuesday, May 14 in the small meeting room of the Missoula Public Library to identify and discuss important issues, and recommend actions for the BWAM Board to take. Bring a sack lunch if you wish. If you're interested, but cannot attend on Tuesdays, link to our Contact Us page and select "Advocacy" as the department to let us know your concern or identify a time that you could attend. Advocacy is our most important work, and we need more member involvement.

National Ride of Silence May 15 New: Missoula Walk of Silence
On May 15, 2013, BWAM will again host the annual Ride of Silence in Missoula, but this year, prompted especially by the recent pedestrian death on Reserve & River Road, we have added a shorter Walk of Silence to remember pedestrian victims as part of our local event. See more information about our local ride here.
