Greetings everyone--

 

Some of you on this list might be interested in learning that the New Mexico Department of Transportation currently has a job opening for a “safe routes to schools” assistant coordinator position.  If you or someone you know is interested in learning more about this position, please view the attachment to this message and scroll down for more information.

 

Establishing safe-walk-to-schools programs in our region is an important priority for Walk Albuquerque.  Even if you are not interested in the NMDOT position, we would encourage you to learn more about this issue.  There are now many excellent web sites focusing on this topic, with many great ideas.  Here are some that I would recommend that you visit for more information:

The NM Department of Transportation is now accepting resumes for the position of Assistant Safe Routes to School Coordinator. A position description is attached outlining the duties, application requirements and contact information. This is currently a temporary position but is full time and qualifies for full benefits.
