420 Walhalla break in

Our house on alley between longview & clinton heights was burgled Friday afternoon. The front door was kicked in & electronics were taken. No other houses nearby were hit. Normally I am home midday but my daughter had a Halloween party at school.

stephanie,  i am sorry to hear that. when we were broken into this summer, our alarm scared the burglars off  before they got anything. 

there was another break-in along the ravine last week -- on morningside drive.  burglars also took electronics primarily.

thanks for letting us know about your burglary.

all of us should be alert for anything out of place.

Stephanie:  also sorry, and also the victims of an attempted burglary--our front door was also kicked it, but the alarm went off immediately and apparently scared the robbers (there were two different sets of footprints on the door) off.  And we heard of another breakin shortly thereafter, also with door kicked in.  Seems to be a pattern.  Somebody is clearly targeting the neighborhood (we're on California).

no.  the attempt on our house was several months ago.  Can't find the exact date at the moment, but will send it along.  But it's a pattern.

Does anyone know if one of our residents in the area owns a white Ford Explorer?  I have seen one driving very slowly around the alley and so has Kelso.  I was only able to get a partial license plate FD something 9841.  It looks to me like it is “casing” houses and I wonder if it could be involved with all of the break-ins (unless someone living here really owns it).

I saw a truck similar to your description before I left for work today.  It went by our house twice.  Not a familiar vehicle to me.
