Hi, all,

We had a successful day removing small honeysuckles, picking up trash and planting new trees. The past few years, we concentrated on cutting back vegetation, so we had a number of little honeysuckles getting started.

Despite our outing being on a Sunday, we had a good crew.  Tim Hooks picked up trash, and he reported finding  less than usual. Thanks to all who walk the ravine and pick up trash daily, too.

Molly Muth, Jules Myers, Andrew Calhoun, Kristin Calhoun and Gabe Calhoun were among those taking out small honeysuckles.

Richa Jhaldiyal and her husband, Bill Lyons,  worked on a steep hill getting the little shrubs,  along with four people I'm embarrassed to admit I can't name. We don't agree on who those four were. If you would email me or all of us, please do.  I'd love to settle the confusion and put names to faces.

A lot of people walking thanked us for our work and one or two stopped long enough to talk about the invasives.

I planted 20+  trees and shrubs where the city removed trees of heaven.  I'll be working with residents to plant more in the next few weeks.

Several people suggested a fall event.  What do you all think?

Meanwhile,  Pari Sabety and Rebecca Dragin promise to help me in a few days with more ravine work.

Let me know if you'd like to help a smaller group.

Enjoy spring!

That's right!  I may have forgotten others, so please let me know.  I was up and down the street and didn't even get pics, which help jog memory.
