Whenrequested, a windows.Window contains an array of tabs.Tab objects. You mustdeclare the "tabs" permission in your manifest if you need access to the url, pendingUrl, title, or favIconUrl properties of tabs.Tab. For example:

For example, say an extension creates a few tabs or windows from a single HTML file, and that theHTML file contains a call to tabs.query(). The current window is the window that contains thepage that made the call, no matter what the topmost window is.

If true, the windows.Window object has a tabs property that contains a list of the tabs.Tab objects. The Tab objects only contain the url, pendingUrl, title, and favIconUrl properties if the extension's manifest file includes the "tabs" permission.

The ID of the window. Window IDs are unique within a browser session. In some circumstances a window may not be assigned an ID property; for example, when querying windows using the sessions API, in which case a session ID may be present.

The offset of the window from the left edge of the screen in pixels. In some circumstances a window may not be assigned a left property; for example, when querying closed windows from the sessions API.

A URL or array of URLs to open as tabs in the window. Fully-qualified URLs must include a scheme, e.g., ' ', not 'www.google.com'. Non-fully-qualified URLs are considered relative within the extension. Defaults to the New Tab Page.

Promises are supported in Manifest V3 and later, but callbacks are provided for backward compatibility. You cannot use both on the same function call. The promise resolves with the same type that is passed to the callback.

If true, causes the window to be displayed in a manner that draws the user's attention to the window, without changing the focused window. The effect lasts until the user changes focus to the window. This option has no effect if the window already has focus. Set to false to cancel a previous drawAttention request.

If true, brings the window to the front; cannot be combined with the state 'minimized'. If false, brings the next window in the z-order to the front; cannot be combined with the state 'fullscreen' or 'maximized'.

Fired when the currently focused window changes. Returns chrome.windows.WINDOW_ID_NONE if all Chrome windows have lost focus. Note: On some Linux window managers, WINDOW_ID_NONE is always sent immediately preceding a switch from one Chrome window to another.

Chrome supports a number of different release channels. We use these channels toslowly roll out updates to users, starting with our close to daily Canarychannel builds, all the way up to our Stable channel releases that happen every6 weeks roughly.

The release channels for chrome range from the most stable and tested (Stablechannel) to completely untested and likely least stable (Canary channel). Youcan run all channels alongside all others, as they do not share profiles withone another. This allows you to play with our latest code, while still keeping atested version of Chrome around.

Note: Early access releases (Canary builds and Dev and Beta channels) willbe only partly translated into languages other than English. Text related to newfeatures may not get translated into all languages until the feature is releasedin the Stable channel.

Before you switch, you should make a backup of your profile (bookmarks, mostvisited pages, history, cookies, etc). If you ever want to switch back to a morestable channel, your updated profile data might not be compatible with the olderversion.Make a copy of the User Data\Default directory (for example, copy it to'Default Backup' in the same location). The location depends on your operatingsystem:

When I clicked the meeting link, it would always launch the zoom app and take me to the meeting. Was very stable and working for many years. Suddenly, Zoom app won't launch. Even when I click the "Launch Meeting" button, nothing happens. I'm on Windows 10 and Chrome (latest updates for both). I've tried everything: Restarted PC, Cleared cookies, cleared cache, uninstalled and re-installed the Zoom app, including "Cleanzoom", verified camera and mic permissions, verified updated drivers on camera, even tried editing the "Preferences" file in the default directory as someone has suggested. Nothing has worked and I keep having the same issue. I have another (slightly older) laptop running same Windows/Chrome and everything works perfectly there. Can someone please suggest a solution? Thanks for your support.

This problem I was having is a known bug in the most current release, and will be fixed when the next Release 5.16.10 is out (by end of month). In the interim, if anyone is having this issue, just download and install an older Release, I installed 5.15.11 and everything works like a charm. Case closed, and a most sincere thanks for Newl for his help as well.

Thank you for the quick reply.

I uninstalled, used the "new" CleanZoom and re-installed - no luck, issue remains unchanged.

If I use the Web Client link, I can get into the meeting, but video doesn't work (video button is "greyed-out", and unclickable!). This is the same as using the "Join from your browser" option on the Zoom screen when the app failed to launch. If someone can figure out why video doesn't work using this process, that would also be helpful.

The Zoom Web App ("Zoom PWA") appears to be designed for mobile platforms only (Android/IOS). I am able to use Zoom perfectly well on my iPhone without the PWA app, so my issue is simply limited to the desktop PC. Since our calls often involved lots of screen sharing of data and Excel spreadsheets, I need my 32" desktop monitor and keyboard and am really limited on my little iPhone.

I found an alternative solution to the problem of zoom not starting in windows 10. I couldn't download a previous 64 bit version of the app; couldn't find a way of doing it. So I tried the current 32 bit version. That works

Browsers are more than just a portal to the Internet: They are the new endpoint where almost every high-value activity and interaction in the enterprise takes place. Authentication, access, communication and collaboration, administration, and even coding are all browser-based activities in the modern enterprise.

Users around the world already use Chrome on their digital devices to access information and get work done safely across Windows, macOS, chromeOS, Android, and iOS. As a leader in browser security, Chrome has built features and best practices that have disrupted, and then established, industry norms.

For example, we introduced advanced security sandboxing and novel exploit mitigations, and we lead the industry in our response time to zero-day vulnerabilities. We also continue to advance security, and recently announced work that uses AI to do privacy-preserving, real-time checks of websites to help protect users from increasingly sophisticated attacks.

Chrome Enterprise Premium builds on the core capabilities available in Chrome Enterprise, which gives organizations the secure, reliable browser their employees prefer to use with management tools for IT and security teams built in.

Security insights and reporting support event reporting, device reporting, and forensic capabilities for enterprise-wide visibility, and can integrate with other Google and third-party security solutions;

Context-aware access controls can be scaled for web applications, can help enforce continuous Zero Trust access to SaaS and web-based apps with context-aware access control, and can mitigate data exfiltration risks for sanctioned and unsanctioned applications; and

Threat and data protection delivers content inspection and data loss prevention, anti-malware, and anti-phishing using frontline intelligence and AI, dynamic URL filtering, and site categorization.

Chrome is secure by default, protecting you from dangerous and deceptive sites that might steal your passwords or infect your computer. Advanced technologies, such as site isolation, sandboxing, and predictive phishing protections, keep you and your data safe.
