Readiness:
· Exit Cards
1. Exit Card Sample Questions found at
http://www.saskschools.ca/curr_content/mathcatch/mainpages/assess_tools/exit_questions.html
The main site that I retrieved this information from is located at
http://www.cast.org/index.html

2. These questions can be given to students online at the end of a
lesson to assess their readiness for new material the next lesson. In
addition, this site offers strategies to help teachers come up with
meaningful questions that will allow them to plan accordingly for what
the students to work on more in class.

Interest:
· Virtual Field Trip
1. The Olympic Games Virtual Field located at http://www.olympic.org/en/content/Olympic-Games/

2. This website has everything that would interest a student wanting
to learn about the Olympic games. In addition, this site even has
games the students can play that are actual games played in the
Olympics. This site is user-friendly and allows the students to pick
how far back they want to research, and what type of season.

Learning Profile:
· Class profile maker
1. The class profile maker is located at
http://www.cast.org/teachingeverystudent/tools/classprofile.cfm

2. “The UDL Class Profile Maker helps you understand your students'
strengths, needs, and interests as individuals and as a group. The
tutorial helps you learn to apply the UDL framework, and the tool and
downloadable template provide structured supports for developing a
learning profile for your class” (CAST, 2010).

Cortney,
I like the idea of using exit cards to assess student readiness. These
are something that they could fill out the previous day before
starting a new lesson. As a teacher, it would give you a better idea
of what to cover in your lessons. I also think virtual field trips are
great. This is something I would like to use more in my classroom. So
many of our students have never traveled outside of LaVergne, TN. They
have very little background knowledge about anything. Virtual field
trips are a great way to bring the world to the students.

Cortney -
All of your sites look like good ones. I really like that idea of
exit cards to use in PE. I think that it would be a good way to check
for learning from our students and also find out which subjects we
might need interventions with. All in all great sites, good work.
