http://www.teachwithmovies.org/ is a site that unfortunately costs
money to get full access to, but it has some samples and can give
teachers a good template for teaching with movies. I would also
recommend that teachers who use movie clips in their lesson plans
watch the special features and listen to bonus audio commentary that
may come on the DVD or Blu-Ray. Big-budget movies require a lot of
background research and the bonus features often reveal cool facts
that might interest some students. At our school we are not supposed
to show full movies, but I have found that simply showing a clip from
a movie will interest some students enough to go rent it and watch it
at home.
