Readiness:
Survey Monkey:
http://www.surveymonkey.com
This is a site where you can create your own surveys for your
classroom. I really like this site because you can put any
information in that you would like to know about your students. This
is a great resource to find out all of the differences in your
students so that as a teacher you would know what their background is,
personality, and learning styles so that differentiated instruction
would be easy to do in the classroom. It gets all the information you
may need to know quickly.
Interest:
Denver Art Museum:

This museum is really close to the city I teach in and has lots of
learning resources on it. It gives visuals and information on all of
the different artwork along with some creativity sites. This would be
a great site for my students to go on and explore the art because it
gives them a chance to look at things that interest them. I take my
fifth graders to the museum and this would be a great site for them to
visit before and after we go so that they can explore what they would
like to see and learn more about what they did see. This site
supports DI because it allows students to visit sites that keep their
interest and intern motivate them in their learning.
Learning Profile:
i4c (Internet4Classrooms):
http://www.internet4classrooms.com/di.htm
This site has so many resources for differentiated instruction. It
has resources available for all subject areas and ways to use it in
your classroom planning, instructional theory, learning styles,
lessons. It tells you why the information or sites that they are
giving you are important or what areas it would be good to use it in.
I would use this tool in my classroom because it has so many resources
that would give me ideas on how to create individualized lessons and
assessments for all of the different learners in my classroom. This
site supports this weeks learning because its resources are all on
differentiated instruction.
Dr. Carol Ann Tomlinson says in Introduction to differentiated
Instruction, “when teachers believe students can learn, not just
rhetorically but actually, almost anybody can learn almost anything if
they work hard enough and I work hard enough” and this is why it is
important to work hard to find resources for our students to make them
successful and let them know that I want them to connect with the
subject and that I will do whatever it takes to motivate them. This
sites can help motivate my students and myself.
