Technology by readiness

This is reading software that will help students with learning difficulties such as dyslexia. This will help improve reading, comprehension spelling skills and help to learn the natural flow of what is written. This software could also help students with vision problems and English language learners. Using this technology with flexible grouping can allow students with similar readiness levels to work together and learn the material (article). Students have varying degrees of ability, and this software helps to meet the needs of different learners. I could implement this into reading of our textbook. Students would be put into groups and using the computer go through the sections assigned. Each group can adjust speed, sound, and language.
Technology by interest
This online software allows students to organize, present, and share their thoughts and ideas. This software allows students to explore their interest and present them in a creative way. This would be implemented into my classes in many ways. One way would be to have students in my career and financial management class choose a career of their choice that they may be interested in. After research using the Internet, students will create a prezi explaining their career interest. Projected income, education, skill needed, and job opportunities are some of the topics they will share. By creating activities that allow students to explore their own interest, learning become more appealing (article).
Technology by learning profile

This online software allows students to create, listen, discover, and share originally created music. There are many original music samples that can be used to create their own music. This software would appeal to the musical learning profile. Students could express their thoughts and ideas of content through music (article). I could implement this into my sport marking class by having students create a song or jingle to sell a sports product. They could also create a song or jingle to promote their franchise. Students have varying levels of each intelligence, by allowing options, students can choose which learning style appeals to them most and will enhance their learning.
