Hi everyone,
I used a menu or choice board to differentiate products for The Crucible. Students had the opportunity to create advertisements, commercials, book covers and reviews, puppets shows and one even attempted to compose a musical score. He found it kind of difficult to get the sound he was after but it was a worthwhile experience just to experiment with it.

I also found some nice print resources and most of the information in them could be reproduced or even scanned into a computer.
The first is a book that has tons of different menu options for language arts, but I am sure they could be adapted to a variety of content areas. Obviously these can be tweaked for your own use. Although the grade level in geared to middle school, I was able to use them in the high school as well.
The book is: Differentiating Instruction With Menus: Language Arts – Grades 6-8
Author: Laurie E. Westphal.
ISBN-13: 978-1-59363-366-0
You can visit the website and look at different links and options. It is, however, a site that focuses on book sales, so consider yourself warned!

The second is a book I borrowed from our social studies teacher. Once again, the book contains multiple reproducible for differentiated learning strategies. I found this resource to be useful for middle and high school age students.
The book is: Strategies for Content Area Learning
Author: Jerry L. Johns and Roberta L. Berglund
ISBN: 0-7872-9052-1
And again, the website is a giant sales pitch, but here is the link if you are interested. This company also caters to parochial-based instruction.

I know that these links are not the most useful in the world. However, I do like the resources in the two books I mentioned.
