Hello all!
I wanted to thank all of you that were in attendance at last nights
meeting. It was the largest turn out we have had yet! Rebecca Roberts
did such a wonderful job of presenting our local ghost towns. She also
graciously donated a signed copy of her thesis to the geneology group.
This will be avaliable for you to view as soon as the museum and
archives are opened, which as I said last night, is not too far off in
our future! We have a lot of exciting things going on within our
society. This weekend we will be at the Rotary Valentines Day
Celebration at Hudson Park, and we will even have a float in the
parade. If anybody is interested in helping out with decorating the
float, we will be meeting at the agricultural pavilion tomorrow
(Thursday) starting at 9am. We will keep on decorating until the float
is completed. Also, if you are interested in helping at the booth,
please let me know. We would love to have you. Our next meeting, March
10th at 7pm, we will have John Roberts presenting the history of the
St. Marks lighthouse. He is a direct desendant of the lighthouse
keeper. It is sure to be another interesting program, so mark it on
your calendars now! Hope to see many of you out and about celebrating
Valentine's Day with the community this weekend. Any questions or
concerns? Feel free to contact me at

Thanks,
