to wakulla historical society
Hi--On Sunday, Nov. 22, the exhibit "William Augustus Bowles: Portrait
of a Scoundrel?" opens at the historic fort in St. Marks. There are a
couple of administrative duties that need to be taken care of as part
of the grant the Wakulla County Historical Society received. The
Florida Humanities Council would like to get feed-back. I have forms
that visitors should complete during the event. I'd like to ask if
there are two volunteers who can help out that afternoon? Easy: Sit at
a table, ask folks to fill out the form. And walk around asking those
there whether they have done that yet. That's all. You'll get to see
the exhibit, eat the hors d'oeuvres and listen to some music... And
it is a pleasant place to hang out.
You know, of course you do, that this exhibit is opening at that
location because we don't have our own museum space yet! And, that is
where Bowles kicked out the Spanish commandant...
So , please let me know. -- Thank you. Madeleine
