Hello Member,

You may not have been to the aero club lately, but the place has been a hive of activity. Flying hours in January showed a marked improvement.

We now have an experienced C-Cat instructor: Daniel Whitmore. Daniel has several hundred hours of experience instructing at CTC in Hamilton. He's been doing trial flights, PPL/CPL training and is starting to do some non-member flying.

Our new, permanent CFI is arriving on February 11th: Kerry Conner of Ace-Aviation in Masterton. Kerry has twenty years of experience and five thousand hours of instructing. She specializes in tailwheel, vintage and warbird flight training, and flies Peter Jackson's WWI aircraft regularly. She'll be bringing a Piper Pacer with her, so it'll be a great time to get some tailwheel experience.

Our temporary CFI, Ross Crawford, will be here until the end of February. If you have a BFR coming up, or want to upgrade your qualification, there's no better time.

Regards,
Gareth
