Its nice to know that the list will still exist. On other discussions one of the topics brought up has been purported genetic relations of Wakashan, such as 'Mosan' and larger groupings. I'm curious to know how subscribers feel about these. I've seen a great deal of material from Salishan, North Wakashan, and Chemakuan families, though my South Wakashan has been limited to the Sapir/Swadesh Nootka, and more recent shorter works on other members. So is it borrowing or genetics?
I've also read that North Wakashan might have been influenced (in terms of morphosyntactic type) by Dene languages, though I don't remember where or when. And of course northern Coast Salish and Bella Coola have Wakashan influences. What about Penutian? Any sense that Wakashan has been influenced by Tsimshianic, or vice versa?
