Our ExpressPoint app continues to operate offline, recording all transactions that come through. As soon as the network connection is reestablished, the system will sync back up and send any unprocessed transactions to the database for accurate reporting.
Excessive wait in lines cuts down on lunch time for students, and can dissuade them from participating in school nutritional programs. With simple-to-operate point of service that goes where students go, staff can queue students and eliminate the need for lines.
Objectives: Point of care testing (POCT) contributes to diagnosis and monitoring with fast testing time and easily performed assays. We evaluated the Abaxis Piccolo Xpress point of care chemistry analyzer using the Liver Panel Plus discs for our pediatric patient population at Texas Children's Hospital.
Background: Point-of-care (POC) tests are used increasingly due to fast results and simple test procedures, which enables rapid diagnosis and therapeutic monitoring. We evaluated the performance of the Piccolo xpress Chemistry Analyzer (Abaxis, USA) a POC chemistry analyzer.
Conclusions: The Piccolo xpress Chemistry Analyzer can analyze multiple analytes with a minimal amount of whole blood in a short time. It showed an acceptable performance for precision, linearity and comparison with central laboratory analyzer. It can be useful as a screening tests modality in mobile clinics, ambulances, and field clinics for military use, and for pediatric patients from whom enough sample volume is difficult to obtain.
A good point-of-sale (POS) system requires a solution that is quick, easy-to-use, and flexible to meet the needs of today's retail enviroment. This retail system is reliable and fail safe to offer customer friendly service. This solution is commonly used in:
Over the past 20 years, there has been a continuous shift toward the decentralization of clinical laboratory testing. With recent advances in the speed and accuracy of point-of-care tests, it is now possible to bring molecular infectious disease testing closer to the patient. This webinar explores the benefits of molecular point-of-care testing as a means of improving patient outcomes and quality of care. Currently available testing methods are reviewed, with an emphasis on the importance of lab testing in the era of performance-driven healthcare.
