Is there a way that we can request for additional brands/manufacturers to be added to the TV & soundbar list for control by the Chromecast remote? The remote recognizes my Soniq TV, but not my Bauhn soundbar (Bauhn isn't listed), and I haven't found another manufacturer in the list that tricks it into working.

Oh I wasn't clear, I meant a soundbar brand that I can tell the Chromecast remote to use that happens to work for Bauhn as well. I understand that some people have managed to get their Bauhn TVs working with the Chromecast remote in a similar fashion, e.g. -TV-can-t-find-Bauhn-TV-Model-ATV5##########... (which I see is also a @djtetei response!)

I have tried all the different brands that I could find similar threads on from Reddit (toshiba, grundig etc), have tried every other brand that had the same remote code from this website -remotes/urc-7935-streamer-remote/support/digital-manuals/codel... and it didnt work. Any other brands of what I can try in order for me to be able to control the TV Remote and power button with the Google remote? Would rather just use 1 remote to control my TV as remotes are a hot commodity with 2 babies.

My TV is a BAUHN and my sky q went back to factory settings / Reset and now remote won't control the TV. I've tired 1&3 7&9 to repair but the BAUHN setting and other settings won't work. Does anyone know another option.

I have a Bauhn TV and want to use the remote control app on my new Samsung Note. Unfortunately Bauhn is not specifically supported. I have tried a number of other brands in the list but there are hundreds. Does anyone happen to know if the Bauhn remotes are the same as another brand?

Is there any learning function in the Samsung App? Or is there a system that many no-name remotes use, where you press a special button and the remote loops through every code and you just watch the screen... when you see it "Mute" then you tell the remote to stop (code found).

Thanks for that. I had thought of that and had searched for a suitable document but did not find the one you referenced. Unfortunately it seems that the only other remote code set used by Bauhn (1589) is used by Medion. Medion uses that among others and I had already tried Medion in the App and it did not work. Very disappointing that the Bauhn code has been made entirely unique. I thought it would simply be a rebrand from something else.

I also have a Bauhn TV (Model: AC-32FZ). The remote has an identified "GL21A-C2" and does not have a 'UPlayer' key on it. The IC the remote uses is labelled HJ6122-001. A picture of the remote is here

Regarding the learning function, my limited experience with the 'smart' universal remotes is that a working original was required and the universal had a 'read' facility. (Remotes typically only have IR transmit).
If the Gamepad has an IR transmit/receive facility like the DS did, it should be able to work as you suggested; I just can't remember reading that the Gamepad's IR is two-way..

The gamepads IR port is an actual 2 way serial IR port just like the 3DS cellphones & pocket computers & PDS.
In fact me & my father had Experimented in the past with learning remote apps on our PDA's meaning that feature should easily be implemented with the Wii U control pad just obviously needs the orignal remote to learn from.

Sleeve, you seem like a real wizard. I have a Soniq E23Z11A purchased in New Zealand. My TV remote is also Soniq branded, model QT 144. I've tried your previous suggestions for Soniq TVs, but none have borne fruit. Do you have any ideas?

Hi i just bought a new SONIQ E32W13A-AU, I've tried the SONIQ setting but it does nothing and I've tried all the above suggestions: still nothing!
The remote has SONIQ QT1D on it, and I'm in Australia.
